Villa de Benasque
 

Benasque (Benás in patois) is a municipality in the province of Huesca located in the county of Ribagorza, in the centre of the Pyrenees. The town is the heart of the Valley and is known for its breathtaking scenery, as it is framed by the Parque Natural Posets-Maladeta.

The municipality covers 233'17 square km that include the picturesque spots of Anciles (Ansils) and Cerler (Sarllé), well known for its ski resort.

The village of Benasque offers beautiful streets and "plazas" to walk through, and some examples of mountain architecture, among which are:

• The church of Santa Maria, of Romanesque origin (thirteenth century)
