Hunting in Benasque
Benasque's Reserva Nacional de Caza (National Hunting Reserve) includes the municipalities of Benasque and Sahún
The conserved habitats of the Valley favour a diversity of game including species such as chamois, roe deer, wild boar, partridge, hare, rabbit and quail, and make it an ideal place for hunting.
Benasque's Reserva Nacional de Caza (Hunting National Reserve), was established in 1966 and covers up to 30,000 hectares, while the local hunting ground covers 3,000. In order to hunt in these areas, the Community of Aragon requires, besides the license, a specific permit that the Hotel Ciria is able to process, upon request.
Fishing in the River Éserasque
The good quality of water at the Pyrenees makes trout fishing one of its main attractions
If you enjoy fishing, you will find native trouts in the headwaters of the River Esera. Due to the high quality of water, it hasn't been necessary to restock.
The Ciria brothers advise their guests, recommend the best areas and personally manage the permits for this sport.
Keep in mind that, in order to fish in the inland waters of Aragon, you must have a license issued by the Aragon Institute of Environmental Management (INAGA). In some fishing grounds, a specific permit is required. Both documents can be processed from the hotel within a minimum of two working days in advance".
